Our period of recent rescue inactivity has come to an end. The past week has presented a series of demanding callouts for our team’s volunteers. We are however always #RescueReady

Our resources have been requested to undertake three rescue operations all in and around the #Crianlarich and #Tyndrum hills.

Over these three incidents, our volunteers have given nearly 230 hours, carried out over 4 days.

We’ve worked alongside other agencies including the Scottish Ambulance Service and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency Helicopter, as well as being assisted by Mountain Rescue Teams (MRTs) from Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team, Lomond Mountain Rescue Team, Tayside Mountain Rescue Team, Ochils Mountain Rescue Team, Police Scotland Forth Valley, Oban Mountain Rescue Team, and both SARDA Southern Scotland Search & Rescue Dog Association (Scotland).

It really does take a community to make mountain rescue work, and this is being demonstrated time and time again by so many people.

This week has been a perfect example of this, and thank Glenfalloch Estate for their support, and especially to Falcon for transporting team members around in his all-terrain vehicle. We also want to say big thanks to The Real Food Cafe and Mhor 84 Motel who have gone above and beyond to feed and water our volunteers free of charge, allowing them to get warm and cosy after being out in difficult conditions. THANK YOU!
