The team were called out on Sunday 26th November to help two walkers who were lost on steep ground on Ben More. With some of the team away training, we requested support from our neighbouring team, Lomond Mountain Rescue Team. Using local knowledge, we successfully located the missing persons not long after sunset. Those deployed on the hill helped the walkers back down who were safe and well. Given the ground, the walkers did the right thing and waited for help to arrive.

We have had a small number of callouts over the autumn, but these have similarly relied on ourselves working closely with neighbouring teams.

Sunday’s rescue means that we have been deployed by Police Scotland Scotland on 39 callouts so far this year.

We would like to recognise the commitment of our volunteers and our neighbouring teams who respond #anyhour #anyweather .
