So it’s been a busy weekend for the team, not with rescues but helping out at local community events.

First stop was supporting the annual Killin Agricultural Show. Team members volunteered to provide a first aid point in addition to being able to show members of the public some of the kit we fundraise for and use on shouts each year.

The highlight of the day, other than not having to administer first aid, was to see the delight of our most agile member search dog Killin Alfie. A member of the public handed over some dog treats for Alfie, should he be a good boy. Speaking afterwards Alfie 🐕 said “the people of Killin know a good team member when they see one. 🐕 “ as always its the little things that make a difference to the team. ‘paw Alfie’

On Saturday evening our volunteers provided first aid support for a very special event in Callander. The event was The Canmore Trust annual street Ceilidh. This is a fantastic community initiative set up by the Gibson family in memory of their son Cameron (who loved the outdoors). In its second year the street Ceilidh has taken place which aims to raise vital funds and awareness for The Canmore Trust which works tirelessly to break the stigma of mental health and raise awareness of support available to those who are affected by suicide and provide a safe space to those who have thought’s of suicide.
