On Thursday 16th February, we received our 8th and 9th callouts almost simultaneously.

The initial callout was in relation to an elderly female who’d fallen and injured themselves on rocks at The Falls of Dochart in Killin. Colleagues from the Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue Services were already on route, along with Police.

Just as we began to load up equipment at the store, we were advised paramedics had managed to recover the casualty safely and we weren’t required.

At that time we then received a callout in relation to a lost walker on Ben Vorlich. One of our team leaders called the walker and quickly identified that it wasn’t the Ben Vorlich in our patch they were lost on, but instead the one near Ardlui. Given the new information, the callout was passed over to our colleagues at Arrochar MRT.
